Frequently asked
Q.Can I continue my existing folios after moving abroad?
Yes, but they need to be updated from resident to NRI status under FEMA regulations — we handle this update rather than leaving old folios technically non-compliant.
Q.Is TDS deducted on my mutual fund redemptions?
Yes, TDS applies to NRI capital gains at source, at rates depending on the fund type and holding period. A DTAA with your country of residence may allow you to claim credit for this against your local tax liability.
Q.Can I invest from any country?
Most countries, yes — a small number of jurisdictions are restricted by individual AMCs under their own compliance policies, which we'll confirm for your specific country before you start.
Q.Do I need to visit India to complete KYC?
No — NRI KYC is designed to be completed remotely with notarised documents, though an in-person visit can simplify the process if you're travelling to India anyway.
